Karina Muñoz, Arizona
Karina Muñoz is a 24-year-old daughter of farm workers from Arizona who represents the future generation of farm workers. She is a first-generation college student and speaks to her unique experience of seeing what her mother went through as a farm worker and knowing how difficult it is to work in extreme heat in San Luis. She has witnessed people who have fainted and who have not received proper medical care or compensation for their conditions.
