Washington, D.C.—Today, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling upholding birthright citizenship as guaranteed by the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Erica Lomeli Corcoran, CEO of the UFW Foundation, said:

“The 14th Amendment is clear: ‘All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.’ Today, the Supreme Court of the United States affirmed that. This ruling is a message that the Trump administration is not above the Constitution and cannot simply push it aside to further its anti-immigrant agenda. While this is a major victory, we must continue to ensure families stay together. Si Se Puede.”
