Los Angeles, CA – This Thanksgiving, the UFW Foundation is featured in a full-page ad in Food Network Magazine highlighting Farm Worker Voices, a groundbreaking docuseries exploring the impacts of climate change on agricultural workers and their vital contributions. The UFW Foundation’s Food Network Magazine ad appears in all subscribed issues in Los Angeles and New York City, just in time for Thanksgiving, when Americans come together to give thanks over a dinner largely harvested by more than 2.4 million farm workers.

From record-breaking temperatures to the growing frequency and strength of natural disasters, farm workers are on the frontlines of climate shifts placing them—and our country’s food supply—at risk. Through Farm Worker Voices, viewers gain first-hand insights on the challenges field workers confront and the resiliency they demonstrate in the face of adversity and hardship.

Erica Lomeli Corcoran, Interim UFW Foundation CEO, said:

Farm Worker Voices gives a voice to the millions of outdoor workers who risk their health and lives to provide a decent living for their families. We are hoping that ads such as these will help reach everyday consumers and remind them of the food that farm workers work so hard to bring to their tables. Not only does it show consumers all the work being done to keep the food supply stocked; it also puts a real face to the dangers of climate change not only to outdoor workers but to everyone in general. Climate change is a real threat to farm workers and we must take all the necessary steps to protect them.”
