Alma Young
Alma Young is a devoted educator and passionate activist and is currently serving as the UFW Foundation Georgia State Director. With 14 years of experience in higher education, she previously directed the College Assistance Migrant Program at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Valdosta State University. As a lifelong advocate for migrant and farm working families in South Georgia, Alma draws from personal experience as an undocumented farm worker to empower these communities. She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in education from Georgia Southern University. In her current role, she continues to champion systemic change, advocating for farm working communities and striving for a brighter, more equitable future.
