Ways to Get involved
Welcome! We know that everyone has something to offer, to advocate for, and to improve lives in the communities we serve, especially you. The UFW Foundation strives to create an environment that promotes camaraderie, diversity, community, professional growth, respect, AND FUN. We are currently offering various opportunities for members at all times of their lives and at all levels of commitment. Together, we can improve the lives and working conditions of farm workers, immigrants, and underserved communities.
Please see our list of open volunteer, internship, and fellowship opportunities below. Note: Participants must be 18 years or older.
Volunteer Opportunities
Immigration Workshop Volunteer:
Join our immigration legal team and assist community members as they navigate the naturalization process. Your role may involve setting up and breaking down events, welcoming community members with a smile, aiding with applications and paperwork, offering translation support, and other tasks as needed.
Workshops take place exclusively on Saturdays. Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
Organizing & Outreach Volunteer:
Join our organizing team to help engage and empower community members. Depending on regional priorities, you may support advocacy efforts, emergency relief, outreach events, house meetings, and community workshops. Volunteers also assist with distributing resources, welcoming attendees, and providing translation support when needed.
Internship Program
Legal Services Internship:
The Legal Services Intern will assist in legal workshops, help community members navigate the immigration process, and provide support with immigration applications. In addition to working directly with clients, the intern will also provide in-office support with legal administration tasks such as filing, client follow-up, and case preparation. Through this experience, interns will gain a deeper understanding of immigration law and the challenges faced by farmworker and immigrant communities.
