UFW Foundation History

Founded in 2006 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the UFW Foundation reaches over 60,000 low-income Latino immigrants each year in California and Arizona through community education, critical services, and civic participation opportunities. Furthermore, the organization advocates for policies at the local and national level that ensure the full integration of immigrants into society. The UFW Foundation is uniquely positioned to reach this under-served population because it is known and trusted by Latino immigrants in the areas it serves and is part of the Farm Worker Movement started by Cesar Chavez that has over fifty years of experience organizing and serving farm worker and Latino communities.
